I love this salon and all the staff here. They're all so welcoming and take the time to really listen to what exactly I want done to my hair. Also, the salon is always very clean which I appreciate. I have never left here unhappy with my hair or the service I've received!
Considering the price and outcomes, I've decided to go to another salon. Overall I'm disappointed with the way they don't seem to listen, and I feel they rush the processing phase.
I've had my hair done by two stylists. With both I generally liked the blonde highlights, but they didn't last beyond 2-3 weeks. I've never experienced color fade like this. I bought Pureology products here and I've had my water tested. I think the issue is they don't leave the color on long enough to process and they mask it by adding toners or glazes (which I must pay extra for) that wash away after 2-3 weeks.
I stopped going to one stylist because she didn't seem to grasp that blonde highlights are just that...highlights. She foiled practically my entire head so there wasn't any indication of any other color. When I returned she asked how I liked my last color, and I said it was okay. She was like, "just okay?" and it was awkward sitting there for the rest of the session. She barely spoke to me from that point on and wore a facial expression like I had offended her. I thought that was odd especially considering she's the one who doesn't understand that a highlight isn't supposed to be 90% or more of the hair on one's head. I also wasn't thrilled with her haircuts that were expensive considering the outcome.

They have a good rating online which is why I tried them out, but the few low reviews did make me concerned initially because I have had my hair royally messed up before elsewhere. After my appointment, I’m not really sure what those people were talking about because this place was great! May not be the place for you if you want super cheap, but if you’re looking for quality and high standards, Revel was a great pick!
The second stylist I tried had the same issue as the first when it came to color fade. The processing time here is half the time I'm used to sitting at other salons. I liked the color (with added lowlights) and the cut, so I returned for another appointment even though the color faded faster than I've experienced at other salons. What bothered me about the next visit is that I told her I wanted to do THE SAME THING AS LAST TIME. However, I'm sitting here with much much darker hair than I had last time. Previously, she did smaller strands of lowlights and larger strands of highlights. Last time she did large strands of lowlights and small strands of highlights. It's very noticeable how much darker my hair is, yet she was supposed to do the same thing I had before. Again, the blonde highlights faded within 2-3 weeks. I guess I could say something and ask them to do it over, but based on the way the first stylist reacted when I said my hair was okay, I don't want to sit through more drama.
Loved this place! Great, accommodating staff. Slightly higher prices than some of the other salons in the area, but the services I received were definitely worth it. Several different staff members asked me how I was doing and if I needed anything while I was there, which was nice!
They give coupons to new customers, but have unwritten policies. For example, when I bought the Pureology products, they were on sale. I presented my coupon and was told they were already on sale so I didn't get extra percentage off the sale price. That's not printed on the coupon, so what's the point of presenting useless coupons to customers? The coupons are marked so that they can only be used on certain visits, so it makes no sense to offer a coupon for products that are already on sale and they won't offer the extra discount mentioned on the coupon.
